Attempt pictures....

Bleeding hearts in early April....
Bleeding Hearts the middle of May.. Such pretty flowers!
Our little Tulip patch last month...These are perennial tulips that have been there for about 10 or 11 years now.
Our walking onion patch last month (above) and last week (left). What a difference a month makes! These are pretty cool onion plants. I'll post an updated picture next month.

My garden plot.

Raspberry plot.... Yumm!! Lots of flowers that will hopefully turn into raspberries if the weather ever decides to turn nice!

Other then the tiny bits of pink from the bleeding hearts, not much blooming in this area yet... This is where a lot of my spring bulbs were so we're in transition here!

There's a little bit of my garden. Not a lot going on now but we're just beginning! :)

Rain?? Really??

It was so nice to have a whole 3, or was it 4?, days that were very nice! But now back to the gunk, although I think I think I'll take this over what happen in tornado alley this evening!! My heart goes out to those people in Joplin, MO! The yard/garden is basically weeded except for right in front of the house! Yea!! Now I just have to do something with the piles of weeds that are everywhere! I wanted to get some plants planted Saturday but ended up weeding instead. There's just something about those weeds being gone. :)  Maybe Tuesday I can get some stuff planted since it's supposedly suppose to be a nice day!
Oh, and that garden lettuce sure makes a tasty salad! Ever tried Lemon Balm tea? That's pretty tasty too, especially using the leaves straight from the plant!! I also have some mint that I got from somebody a few weeks ago (it's in a pot that's NOT going in the ground!!) and spearmint that I have yet to plant... Lots of yummy tea coming up... I'm hoping to get some pictures up next post! I do believe i found where I can upload them....

Finally some warmth!

Pea's are popping up, transplanted spinach is growing good and spinach planted in the garden is coming up, potatoes... they'll be a while coming up. Things got planted much later this year due to the awful Spring we've had! I've also got onions, some I planted this spring and then some "walking onions" that I grew last year and planted the bulbs from the top of them last fall. Those ones are getting pretty tall! There's also garlic that I planted last fall from what I grew last year, those are also getting nice and tall. I'll have to get some pictures up... if I can figure out how to get them into the blog! Everything is looking so pretty with the Rhodies finally blooming everywhere and my yellow daisy flowers in full bloom!

We're keeping an eye on tadpoles in our little pond. I saw a little green frog on the daylily next to the pond so maybe that's what these babies will be! The size of tadpoles range from still in egg stage although it looks like they could come out soon?, to fairly large. I've never observed the whole series of watching them get bigger in the egg (not sure that's what it's called) to actually developing into frogs. Pretty cool! Yesterday I saw a Western Tanger bird. They are so bright and pretty!

Here's to lots of weeding and planting this week! There's a little spot on Cleveland and Division that had some wonderful bargains because of "frost damage", getting to far along in the season to sale and too "floppy" looking. Pineapple Sage (yummy smell) and coreopsis and nice fuchsia starts and ornamental grass  for .25 a container! The fuchsia starts were in the 2" containers but everything else was 4" containers. That's a deal a budget strapped person that loves gardening can afford!!
